I have had some strange food since I arrived... Pigs ear, rabbit, venison. My favorite meal at the residencia so far is arroz cubano. Rice with baked eggs with a yummy red sauce. It was great and very different.

Today at Diana's mother's house we had a wonderful spinach dish, a salad and the best chicken I've had in recent memory- wrapped with bacon with currants. It was fabulous. I loved seeing her house and spent the Spanish siesta in the salon. Perfecto. Diana is my teacher friend from school who has been kind enough to take me under her wing-- and we have become friends.
